About the Role

You will design perception architectures using computer vision and deep learning, build reliable software and datasets, integrate perception with planning and manipulation systems, improve simulation environments, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• At least 8 years of robotics engineering and robotic-perception software-development experience
• Programming expertise in C++, C#, or Python
• Computer vision knowledge including segmentation, object detection, tracking, pose estimation, SLAM, 3D mapping, sensor calibration, and sensor fusion
• Knowledge of NeRFs, Gaussian Splatting, LLMs, diffusion processes, PyTorch, or JAX
• Large-scale dataset and data-pipeline experience
• Experience integrating perception with planning and manipulation stacks
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel

Responsibilities

• Design and implement perception-system architectures
• Develop and maintain high-quality software with code reviews, testing, and documentation
• Integrate perception data with robot planning and manipulation control pipelines
• Design workflows for real-time robotic actions
• Build and curate datasets with augmentation, automated labeling, and quality assurance
• Improve simulation environments and synthetic-data generation
• Research and implement robotics-perception innovations
• Mentor junior engineers
• Travel up to 10%
