About the Role
You will develop production perception algorithms, systems, and architecture for high-DOF manufacturing robots. You will build sensor interfaces, active-perception pipelines, computer-vision and 3D-geometry capabilities, GPU-accelerated software, multi-sensor fusion frameworks, and resolve complex software issues. You will also support deployments and on-site debugging.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a similar engineering discipline
- 2+ years of industry experience developing, implementing, and testing planning, learning, perception, or control algorithms
- Experience developing software that interacts with sensor inputs, control loops, and redundancy
- Production-level C++ and Python coding proficiency
- Experience with 3D geometry algorithms including point-cloud filtering, registration, and segmentation
- Ability to fuse multi-view 2D and 3D sensor data
- Experience integrating hardware vision sensors into software stacks
- Familiarity with machine-learning and deep-learning methods for image and point-cloud processing
- Experience architecting perception pipelines that combine 3D geometry and machine learning
- Experience designing and deploying multi-sensor fusion frameworks
- Ability to lead hardware-software integration efforts
Responsibilities
- Develop algorithms, systems, and architecture for high-DOF robotic manufacturing systems
- Configure, troubleshoot, and develop low-latency sensor-data interfaces
- Develop computer vision and perception algorithms for 3D reconstruction, segmentation, and inspection
- Design and own active-perception pipelines, exploration strategies, viewpoint planning, and coverage optimization
- Develop GPU-accelerated production software packages and systems
- Maintain knowledge of robotics and artificial intelligence research
- Provide technical assistance for internal and external teams at facilities and customer locations
- Debug and resolve complex stochastic software issues
- Support proofs of concept, factory acceptance tests, and deployments
- Travel to client locations for system-level debugging
