About the Role
You will lead and coordinate HPC-AI research initiatives, collaborate on extreme-scale AI and machine-learning projects, and author papers, reports, and proposals. You will mentor postdoctoral researchers, students, and junior staff, and communicate research vision, strategy, and progress to sponsors, partners, and collaborators.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
- At least 6 years of relevant research experience outside the PhD
- Demonstrated research in cross-cutting HPC or AI fields
- Submit two letters of reference
Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate HPC-AI activities and cross-cutting laboratory initiatives
- Establish forward-looking centers of excellence
- Lead and collaborate on extreme-scale AI and machine-learning research projects
- Author peer-reviewed papers, technical papers, reports, and proposals
- Contribute to professional, academic, and research organizations
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers, students, and junior staff
- Communicate vision, strategy, and progress to DOE sponsors, industrial partners, and international collaborators
