About the Role
You will lead quality systems and process improvements in an energetics manufacturing environment. You will manage audits, investigations, CAPA efforts, supplier quality, quality data analysis, controlled documentation, risk assessments, and safety compliance while mentoring quality engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 7+ years of quality engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of quality management systems, inspection methods, and statistical techniques
- Expertise in root-cause analysis tools including 5 Whys, Fishbone, and SPC
- Ability to lead projects and mentor others in safety-critical manufacturing
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to pass State and Federal background checks
- Ability to obtain and maintain State and Federal explosives licenses
- Must meet export-control eligibility requirements
Responsibilities
- Lead quality system development, implementation, and improvement
- Ensure robust process controls, inspection plans, and acceptance criteria
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive action efforts
- Review and approve manufacturing procedures, inspection instructions, and quality records
- Lead internal audits and represent Quality in external audits
- Analyze quality data and drive continuous improvement
- Mentor junior and associate quality engineers
- Lead cross-functional quality collaboration
- Lead supplier qualification, audits, and corrective actions
- Lead failure investigations, material review boards, and risk assessments
- Ensure adherence to energetic-material safety, security, and handling requirements
- Contribute to quality organization strategy
