About the Role
You will work to improve mobility by forging new partnerships with public transit providers through thoughtful, exceptionally-written proposals. Working with senior members of the Strategy Team, you will develop a deep understanding of potential partners’ transportation challenges and goals, learn Via’s unique technical and operational strengths, and coordinate high-quality written proposals for effective shared mobility services.
Requirements
- Meticulous and strategic with attention to detail and big-picture thinking
- Exceptional writer and communicator with strong sense of tone and structure
- Passionate about urbanism and public transit
- Able to coordinate with teams across the company from associate-level to C-suite
- Undergraduate degree required, preferably in humanities, social sciences, or a field requiring long-form writing; advanced degree preferred
- Published original essay, op-ed, or content is a plus
- Experience leading development of a business or public sector proposal/pitch/deal is a plus
- Prior experience at a startup, transportation consulting firm, management consulting firm, or in the public sector is a plus
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Partnerships, Expansion, and Finance teams to develop strategies for winning high-stakes, competitive procurements
- Absorb complex product specifications and distill into clear, easily-digestible prose
- Generate compelling original content based on potential partners' needs and Via's technology and operational capabilities
- Lead competitive procurements from beginning to end through evaluation, creation of proposal content, review, and submission
- Conduct rigorous research on global mobility trends and synthesize findings into insightful commentary
- Manage communications with potential partners over phone and email
- Support senior team members during interviews with cities and transit agencies
