About the Role
You will lead solid rocket motor design and manufacturing programs from proposal through qualification. You will manage schedules, costs, technical performance, risks, and technical issues; coordinate stakeholders; and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule throughout design, development, testing, and production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, or a closely related science or engineering field with 7 years of combined technical engineering and project engineering or project management experience, or 11 years of combined experience in lieu of a degree
- Experience with solid rocket motor design, development, and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of safety, handling, and regulatory requirements for energetic materials
- Ability to develop and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule and execute against program baselines
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain applicable state and federal explosives licenses
- Eligibility under U.S. export regulations
Responsibilities
- Lead solid rocket motor design and manufacturing programs from proposal through qualification
- Own and report program schedule, cost, and technical performance
- Serve as the primary technical interface for customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and technical issues
- Escalate unresolved constraints to program leadership
