About the Role
You'll join the Contracts team, working alongside Carta's US lawyers and embedded AI agents to process investment-related NDAs and transactional documents at high volume and speed. You'll own the prompt intake and first-round markup of NDAs and related documents, ensuring nothing sits in a queue too long and client turnaround times are met. You'll support attorneys with first-round drafting and ad hoc legal work, letting them focus on complexity while you handle volume. You'll set up and coordinate client workflows, manage document portals, and drive contracts through to execution, giving clients a seamless experience. Throughout, you'll hold a high quality bar, balancing speed with the precision and attention to detail that private capital clients expect.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience working within a transactional or corporate practice group, or an in-house commercial legal team
- Hands-on exposure to commercial contracts and investment-related NDA drafting
- Ability to thrive in high-volume, deadline-driven environments
- Strong grasp of relevant legal concepts and commercial pragmatism
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Self-starter mindset with ownership and process improvement orientation
- Exposure to private capital, fund structures, or investor onboarding workflows is a strong plus
