About the Role
You will join the Flow Traders EMEA Operations team based in our Amsterdam office, working across an expanding product universe covering all major asset classes. You will follow the full trade lifecycle, reconciling trades and positions, calculating P&L and cash, and collaborating with Prime Brokers, trading desks, risk, compliance, and finance. You'll dig into large datasets, find and fix process issues, and automate manual work by writing scripts rather than just flagging problems.
Requirements
- 5+ years in trading operations, middle office, or financial services
- A degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or something similarly quantitative
- Python and SQL are hard requirements - you write code, not just read it
- Sharp attention to detail and a genuine appetite for getting into the weeds
- Prior exposure to trading, front office, or technology teams is a plus
- Comfortable handling large, messy datasets and knowing when the numbers don't add up
Responsibilities
- Reconcile trades and positions intraday and next day, across multiple asset classes
- Calculate daily P&L and cash - own the numbers, find the breaks, explain them
- Know the full trade lifecycle cold: execution, settlement, fees, interest bookings
- Dig into large datasets to find what's wrong and fix how the process works
- Work directly with Prime Brokers, trading desks, risk, compliance, and finance
- Automate the manual stuff - write the script, don't just flag the problem
