About the Role
You will design mechanical components for robotic workcells and validate concepts in simulation. You will assemble and commission workcells, maintain CAD models and bills of materials, prepare manufacturing parts, manage lab infrastructure, ensure machine safety, and support customer installations.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- At least four years of professional experience in mechanical design, machine building, or industrial automation
- CAD skills for part and assembly design and technical drawings
- Experience with robot simulation and offline programming environments
- Experience with CAM, manufacturing processes, 3D printing, and design for manufacturability
- Experience with aluminum profile systems, linear axes, fixtures, and standard mechanical components
- Experience with robotic hardware
- Knowledge of machine safety norms and safe workcell design
- Fluency in English
Responsibilities
- Design mechanical parts, fixtures, grippers, mounts, and enclosures for robotic workcells
- Validate workcell and production-line concepts in simulation
- Construct, assemble, and commission complete robotic workcells
- Create and maintain CAD models, technical drawings, and bills of materials
- Prepare parts for manufacturing through CAM and 3D printing
- Build reusable mechanical modules, standard components, and design templates
- Manage lab tools, equipment, material stock, and mechanical-component procurement
- Ensure workcells meet machine safety norms and support risk assessments and technical documentation
- Translate application requirements into mechanical solutions with engineering colleagues
- Travel to customer and deployment sites to support installation, commissioning, and adaptation of workcells
