About the Role
You will own manufacturing engineering for chassis fabrication, developing routings, work instructions, fixtures, and cycle times for weld-heavy processes. You will launch fabrication lines and product revisions, run PFMEAs and capability runs, and use weekly data to reduce scrap, rework, cost, and cycle time.
Requirements
- Manufacturing engineering experience in heavy fabrication or weldment production
- Experience launching fabrication lines or major process changes to rate
- Work-instruction development
- PFMEA experience
- Cycle-time improvement experience
- Welding process knowledge
- Fixture design
- Tekla
- CAD
- Takt-based production systems
Responsibilities
- Own manufacturing engineering for chassis fabrication
- Develop routings, work instructions, fixtures, and cycle times
- Launch new fabrication lines and product revisions
- Run PFMEAs, capability runs, and ramp curves
- Improve yield, cost, scrap, rework, and cycle time using data
