About the Role

You will lead the design, deployment, modernization, and operation of classified HPC environments. You will engineer clusters, optimize performance, automate infrastructure, integrate security controls, evaluate emerging technologies, guide technical decisions, mentor engineers, and translate mission requirements into computing solutions.

Requirements

  • BS degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline and at least eight years of relevant experience
  • At least five years of hands-on HPC engineering experience
  • Advanced Linux systems engineering experience with Python, Bash, Ansible, or comparable automation technologies
  • Experience with HPC workload management and scheduling platforms such as SLURM or PBS
  • Experience with MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, and high-performance interconnects such as InfiniBand
  • Experience with HPC performance analysis, monitoring, benchmarking, and optimization
  • Understanding of NIST, RMF, and DISA STIG cybersecurity requirements
  • Eligibility for Sensitive or Special Access Program information
  • Current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SCI clearance
  • Pass pre-placement and ongoing random drug testing

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, deployment, modernization, and evolution of secure HPC environments
  • Architect scalable compute solutions using CPU/GPU resources, interconnects, storage, scheduling, and infrastructure
  • Establish technical standards and engineering approaches
  • Engineer and optimize HPC clusters, Linux systems, schedulers, fabrics, and parallel file systems
  • Analyze performance and optimize compute, memory, storage, networking, and GPU utilization
  • Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
  • Develop automation using Python, Bash, Ansible, Git, and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Engineer systems to meet classified computing and cybersecurity requirements
  • Evaluate emerging HPC, AI/ML, GPU, containerization, and infrastructure technologies
  • Lead complex initiatives from design through operational transition
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance
  • Shape technology roadmaps and improve HPC capabilities
