About the Role
You will build and maintain production web applications across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and external integrations. You will own features from interface to operations, improve performance and reliability, develop real-time systems and APIs, strengthen observability, resolve production issues, and guide technical decisions, code reviews, and mentoring.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Production experience with TypeScript and React
- Experience building and operating backend services
- Understanding of web application architecture, APIs, databases, and caching
- Experience improving production application performance, reliability, and scalability
- Understanding of asynchronous systems, concurrency, networking, and application state
- Experience building applications that process real-time or frequently changing data
- Experience debugging issues across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and external dependencies
- Ability to own complex projects from architecture through production
- Based in Bangalore or able to work regularly from the Bangalore office
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain production-grade web applications
- Own features from frontend interfaces through backend services and infrastructure
- Develop robust APIs and backend systems
- Integrate third-party APIs and external infrastructure
- Improve frontend performance, page load times, API latency, and responsiveness
- Build resilient systems with caching, retries, fallbacks, idempotency, and failure recovery
- Build real-time applications using WebSocket, streaming, polling, and event-driven architectures
- Build responsive user interfaces using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Design scalable component and application-state architectures
- Build backend services, APIs, and data models
- Improve observability through logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting
- Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and address technical debt and reliability risks
