About the Role
You will build and maintain internal tooling that embeds AI into coding, testing, deployment, and defect triage. You will improve observability and automation, integrate developer tools with engineering systems, follow responsible AI practices, mentor engineers, and measure the impact of AI tooling.
Requirements
- Extensive software engineering experience with production systems
- Java or comparable backend service ecosystem experience
- React or React Native experience
- Full-stack engineering experience
- Test-driven development
- Pair programming
- System design, deployment, and production support experience
- Experience using or evaluating LLM-based developer tools
- MCP, agentic tooling, or Spec Driven Development
- Jira, Confluence, and GitLab familiarity
- Financial services, trading platform, or regulated-environment experience
Responsibilities
- Build AI-assisted tooling for coding, testing, deployments, and defect triage
- Improve observability across the AI-assisted delivery pipeline
- Automate manual coding, testing, and release activities
- Deliver work in small, releasable pieces
- Integrate LLM-based developer tools with Jira, Confluence, and GitLab
- Bring AI into exploratory test generation, defect clustering, and flaky-test detection
- Follow responsible AI standards for data handling and prompt hygiene
- Mentor less experienced engineers on AI tooling
- Work with security and compliance on regulatory requirements
- Track cycle time, defect escape rate, test coverage, and delivery turnaround
