About the Role

You will own the Kotlin and Android interface between the robot and its customers, collaborating with UX designers and robotics experts to support smooth bodywork sessions. You will turn hardware telemetry into React and Next.js interfaces, integrate with Go microservices, improve frontend quality and testing, and help shape platform architecture and delivery pipelines.

Requirements

• Proficiency building production Kotlin mobile applications
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and Gradle
• Proficiency with UX application patterns, including component libraries, form validation, data fetching, and SSR
• Understanding of REST API integration, authentication flows, and client-side state management
• Experience with mobile release pipelines, CI/CD automation, and multi-environment deployments
• Ability to work on-site in the NYC office on a hybrid schedule of three days per week, negotiable

Responsibilities

• Own the Kotlin and Android interface between the robot and customers
• Collaborate with robotics and backend engineers to translate hardware telemetry into React and Next.js interfaces
• Integrate with Go microservices from API contracts through user-facing state
• Enforce frontend code-quality, testing, and architecture practices
• Contribute to decisions on state management, navigation, component systems, and CI/CD pipelines
• Champion AI-assisted development and automated testing
