About the Role

You will run the delivery engine across the finance reporting cycle, owning the hands-on production work behind month-end, including journals, consolidation and first-draft management accounts, alongside billing, invoicing and payment approvals. You will take full ownership of expenses and credit control, oversee the Bookkeeper's transactional work, and be the driving force for AI and automation in Finance, designing and building AI-enabled finance processes end to end. You will partner with delegated cost centres and budget holders, helping them stay within budget, and you will prepare schedules and data for UK and US tax compliance while acting as a key point of contact through the annual audit.

Requirements

  • Big 4 auditing background
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Efficiency-focused mindset with demonstrable process improvement experience

Responsibilities

  • Run the delivery engine across the finance reporting cycle, including month-end journals, consolidation and first-draft management accounts
  • Own billing, invoicing and payment approvals
  • Support revenue recognition and investor and bank reporting
  • Take full ownership of expenses and credit control
  • Oversee the Bookkeeper's day-to-day transactional work
  • Design and build AI and automation processes across finance delivery areas
  • Partner with delegated cost centres and budget holders to manage budgets
  • Prepare schedules and data for UK and US tax compliance
  • Act as a key point of contact through the annual audit
