About the Role
You will represent engineering at active project sites, inspect installed work against approved designs, and resolve field issues with contractors and engineers. You will lead issue tracking, failure investigations, commissioning readiness, field changes, and design improvements. More than half of your time will be spent at project sites, including overnight travel.
Requirements
- Experience on active industrial, energy, power, data center, or similar project sites
- Ability to read drawings, single-line diagrams, P&IDs, specifications, and schedules
- Experience persuading contractors, vendors, or partners without formal authority
- Experience leading failure investigations using methods such as 5 Whys or 8D
- Ability to write concise factual reports
- Engineering, construction management, or related degree or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
- Inspect installed work against approved designs
- Resolve field technical issues and escalate unresolved issues
- Maintain and prioritize open engineering issues
- Investigate failures and verify corrective actions
- Drive RFIs, deviations, and field changes to decisions
- Check interfaces before commissioning and handover
- Turn recurring site problems into design, standard, and checklist improvements
- Stop unsafe work
