About the Role
You will build and operate systems that quote prices and manage inventory across crypto markets. You will develop a pricing engine, implement risk controls, handle market-data and execution failures, integrate exchange APIs with payment and treasury infrastructure, and translate trading-desk needs into production systems.
Requirements
- Experience building or operating market-making, algorithmic trading, or exchange systems
- Knowledge of order books, inventory risk, adverse selection, and thin-market quoting risks
- Experience owning production systems that move real money, including on-call support
- Backend expertise in Python and JavaScript
- Ability to work with a trading desk and translate intent into system behavior
Responsibilities
- Design and build the pricing engine, including order book analysis, depth-aware pricing, spread logic, and markup logic
- Build inventory and exposure limits, position monitoring, kill switches, and circuit breakers
- Handle stale market data, venue outages, partial fills, self-trades, and price drift
- Integrate exchange APIs with payment and treasury infrastructure
- Work with the treasury trading desk and CPTO on requirements and architecture
