About the Role
You will provide technical leadership for block, file, parallel, and object storage services. You will design resilient, high-performance solutions, guide engineering decisions, influence technical roadmaps, investigate new capabilities, improve reliability and observability, resolve major incidents, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Proven senior technical experience in storage, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, or platform engineering
- Deep expertise in block, file, parallel, and object storage architectures
- Experience designing and operating large-scale production storage or infrastructure services
- Understanding of distributed systems performance, availability, consistency, fault tolerance, and scalability
- Experience supporting platform-level services
- Experience mentoring engineers
- Strong communication and systems-thinking skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture of block, file, parallel, and object storage services
- Design scalable, resilient, high-performance storage solutions
- Review designs and guide engineering decisions
- Translate storage strategy into technical plans and priorities
- Identify technical risks and scalability constraints
- Partner with platform, infrastructure, and product teams
- Lead technical investigations, proofs of concept, and design work
- Improve service reliability, observability, performance, and operational maturity
- Contribute to incident resolution and root-cause analysis
- Mentor engineers and establish engineering standards
