About the Role
You will develop autonomous aircraft behaviours at the intersection of artificial intelligence, planning, and controls. You will build sensor-fusion solutions, test autonomy systems in software and hardware-in-the-loop simulations, integrate third-party systems, contribute to architecture and code quality, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, Aerospace, Robotics, or a related field
- Significant professional experience in robotics, autonomy, perception, or aerospace systems
- Strong experience in modern C++
- Experience building and delivering reliable software systems
Responsibilities
- Design and implement autonomous behaviours for uncrewed aircraft
- Build sensor fusion solutions using real sensor data
- Develop and test autonomy systems in software and hardware-in-the-loop simulations
- Integrate autonomy products with third-party aircraft and systems
- Collaborate with AI, robotics, and systems engineering teams
- Contribute to architecture, code quality, design reviews, and best practices
- Lead and mentor junior engineers
