About the Role
You will derive circuit-board requirements, create schematics and specifications, guide PCB layout, validate and troubleshoot designs, develop test plans, support manufacturing, and contribute to design reviews, proposals, and trade studies for high-speed electronic products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electrical design, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of high-speed PCB design experience.
- Understanding of digital logic, signal integrity, power circuitry, analog circuits, high-speed PCB design, and simulation.
- Experience with FPGAs or PLDs, Ethernet PHYs, high-speed memories, PLLs, voltage regulators, and switching.
- Knowledge of computer and system architecture.
- Experience with board simulation, processors, DSPs, interfaces, production ramp, validation test plans, lab testing, and debugging.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- U.S. Person status under ITAR/EAR.
Responsibilities
- Derive and document circuit-board requirements.
- Create schematics and specifications for high-speed PCBAs.
- Layout or guide the layout of complex PCBs.
- Assist with PCBA manufacturing when needed.
- Collaborate on signal-integrity, mechanical, and power board design and testing.
- Develop PCBA test plans and procedures.
- Validate, troubleshoot, and test complex circuit boards.
- Support design and development gate reviews.
- Participate in proposals and trade studies.
