About the Role
You will own electrical hardware from analog and digital circuit design through schematic capture, PCB layout, fabrication, bring-up, integration, and testing. You will lead technical decisions and design reviews, solve hardware failures, guide engineers, and make cross-functional trade-offs across performance, reliability, manufacturing, schedule, and cost.
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field
- 5+ years of hands-on electrical hardware development experience
- Digital and analog circuit design expertise
- Experience taking PCBAs from schematic design and layout through fabrication, debugging, and test
- Deep expertise in power electronics, RF, FPGA-based systems, high-speed digital, motor control, or another relevant domain
- Experience leading technical decisions and design reviews
- Experience with Altium or similar ECAD tools, PCB fabrication and assembly, and electrical lab equipment
- Ability to work across engineering disciplines under changing requirements
- 1+ year of full-time early-stage hardware startup experience
- U.S. citizenship
- Current authorization to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Own electrical hardware from circuit design through PCB layout, fabrication, bring-up, integration, and testing
- Design, review, and debug PCBAs using ECAD tools and lab equipment
- Lead architecture and design decisions in a specialized electrical domain
- Lead design reviews and provide practical technical guidance
- Drive cross-functional engineering decisions
- Investigate hardware failures and implement corrective design changes
- Improve electrical hardware design and build practices
