About the Role

You will design electrical schematics and boards for compute hardware used in automotive, off-road, and optional defense applications. You will guide PCB layout, work with fabrication and assembly vendors, and collaborate on platform bring-up and validation. You will create test plans, document results, troubleshoot electrical systems, and apply new technologies and engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • At least 5 years of hands-on hardware design experience
  • Digital design and interface knowledge including PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, LPDDR, I2C, SPI, eMMC, USB, UART, and GMSL
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and layout
  • Experience using bench power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and network analyzers
  • Understanding of PCB manufacturing, product delivery, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems
  • Technical writing skills

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical schematics for compute hardware products from concept through production
  • Design boards with high- and low-speed digital and automotive interfaces
  • Guide and oversee PCB layout to meet performance, cost, mechanical, thermal, reliability, and DFx constraints
  • Create component block diagrams and work with PCB and PCBA vendors
  • Collaborate on platform bring-up and validation
  • Develop and execute test plans and document results
  • Stay current with relevant technologies and industry best practices
