  • 10+ years designing complex embedded electrical systems
  • Expertise in power distribution, DC/DC systems, grounding, EMI/EMC, and electrical reliability
  • Ability to diagnose field failures using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power analyzers
  • PCB design or review experience with multi-layer boards, high-current layout, and power integrity
  • Experience with mobile robots, AGVs/AMRs, or industrial automation equipment
  • Familiarity with Ethernet, CAN bus, and RS485 industrial protocols
  • Experience leading or coordinating international engineering teams
  • Ability to communicate technical analysis to field service teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead design of 48V/24V power systems, power distribution, DC/DC conversion, grounding, and fault protection
  • Define power budgets, electrical-safety strategies, and protection schemes
  • Lead and mentor the China-based electrical engineering team
  • Establish standards for grounding, EMC, power integrity, and connector and harness reliability
  • Coordinate engineering and manufacturing partners across the US and China
  • Lead root-cause analysis of deployed-robot electrical failures
  • Create repair procedures, diagnostic tools, and test procedures for field service
  • Review and improve PCB designs
  • Lead development of the next-generation robot controller
  • Design and debug Ethernet, CAN bus, and RS485 communication systems

Benefits

  • Employer-subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Vacation and sick leave
