About the Role
You will build and own detection coverage across cloud, endpoint, and runtime telemetry. You will operate centralized correlation and alerting, lead incident response through resolution, maintain runbooks and escalation paths, tune detections, measure response performance, conduct retrospectives, and partner with infrastructure security and IT to address gaps.
Requirements
- 6+ years of security experience with a strong focus on detection engineering and incident response
- Experience building detections and correlation across AWS, Azure, EDR, and preferably container and runtime telemetry
- Experience owning end-to-end incident response and leading live incidents
- Experience building and scaling a detection and response capability
- Experience working with engineers and IT to address security gaps
Responsibilities
- Build and own detection coverage across cloud, endpoint, and runtime telemetry
- Operate centralized correlation and alerting capabilities
- Lead incident response, including runbooks, escalation paths, and incident coordination
- Detect anomalous activity across corporate and production environments, including Kubernetes
- Tune detections and measure detection and response performance
- Run incident retrospectives and incorporate lessons into detections and controls
- Partner with infrastructure security and IT to close response gaps
