About the Role
You will be responsible for managing RDBMS and NoSQL solutions, optimizing performance, implementing replication and high availability, and providing support to development teams. You'll ensure database performance, scalability, and disaster recovery across environments deployed on bare-metal servers and virtual machines, and drive automation to streamline infrastructure and database lifecycle management.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field of study
- Expert-level experience with at least one of MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with other RDBMS or NoSQL solutions
- Strong knowledge of SQL (DDL, DML, DCL)
- Experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms
- Proficiency in Linux
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- English language proficiency at B2 level or higher
Responsibilities
- Manage RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
- Ensure database performance, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery across environments deployed on bare-metal servers and virtual machines
- Implement and manage replication chains, partitioning / sharding, backups
- Assist development teams in creating, optimizing, and problem solving with RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
- Troubleshoot database issues
- Drive automation using Terraform, Puppet, and custom tooling for infrastructure and database lifecycle management
