About the Role
You will design backend services and APIs for AI spend visibility, attribution, insights, and controls. You will build provider integrations, transform usage and billing data into useful product structures, and create accurate and traceable processing workflows. You will own projects through launch and improve reliability, performance, and observability as usage grows.
Requirements
- Experience designing, building, and operating production backend systems, including APIs, data models, and asynchronous workflows
- Strong judgment regarding system design, data correctness, reliability, and simplicity
- Track record of independently owning complex projects and shipping high-quality software
- Experience working with external data sources or integrations involving data quality and changing interfaces
- Ability to work through ambiguous product problems with cross-functional partners
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach to technical decisions and feedback
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services and APIs for AI spend visibility, attribution, insights, and controls
- Build and improve integrations that ingest provider usage and billing information
- Convert integration data into useful structures for customers and internal product consumers
- Create reliable data models and processing workflows for accurate and traceable spend information
- Own projects from technical design through launch, monitoring, and iteration
- Improve system reliability, performance, and observability
- Partner with product, design, data, and engineering teammates on practical solutions
- Raise the engineering bar through design reviews, code reviews, and mentorship
