About the Role
You will develop and test theories of internal structure in neural networks. You will conduct mathematical and empirical research, build methods for discovering belief geometries, investigate generalization and interpretability, stress-test research frameworks, analyze models and data, and communicate research findings clearly.
Requirements
- Depth in at least one quantitative field such as physics, mathematics, neuroscience, or machine learning
- Ability to conduct rigorous mathematics and work with models and data
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly in writing and with collaborators
- Preferred PhD or equivalent in physics, computer science, neuroscience, mathematics, or a comparable field
- Extensive machine-learning experience
- Experience in interpretability
