About the Role
You will research inference systems, assess which approaches suit production workloads, and implement measured improvements in the serving stack. You will design new approaches where needed, collaborate with the AI Cloud platform team, and produce work suitable for shipping and publication.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; exceptional Bachelor's candidates are considered.
- Understanding of LLM inference and serving systems.
- Hands-on experience with vLLM, SGLang, or another inference engine.
- Research and implementation track record.
- Python and C++ skills.
- Ability to define and interpret performance measurements.

- Evaluate approaches for production workloads.
- Build improvements in the serving stack.
- Design new approaches where existing methods fall short.
- Measure system-level performance improvements.
