About Resolution
Resolution Alignment, Inc. is the renamed legal successor to Timaeus Research, Inc. It was briefly announced as Sequent in June 2026 before adopting the Resolution name. The institute combines former Timaeus researchers with researchers from the UK AISI Alignment Team, with a major in-person presence in Berkeley and remote researchers elsewhere.

About the Role
You will build agentic research infrastructure, including experiment orchestration, hypothesis generation, automated analysis, autoformalization tools, and internal AI tools. You may embed with a research program to scale experiments and create specialized infrastructure. You will maintain distributed training, experimentation, and evaluation systems; contribute to shared codebases; and communicate progress, obstacles, and lessons through Slack and weekly meetings.
Requirements
- Production-quality Python
- ML framework experience with PyTorch or Jax
- Distributed-training stack experience
- Ability to ship complex systems end-to-end
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- Ability to use AI tools carefully in the workflow
- Motivation to work on artificial superintelligence alignment full-time
Responsibilities
- Build agentic research infrastructure, experiment orchestration, hypothesis generation, automated analysis pipelines, autoformalization tooling, and internal AI tools
- Scale program experiments and build program-specific infrastructure
- Maintain and extend distributed training, experiment, and evaluation infrastructure
- Contribute to and maintain shared codebases
- Communicate engineering and automation progress, obstacles, and learnings
