About the Role
You will plan and execute research into quantum computing applications and algorithms including technical feasibility demonstrations. You will support end users analyse business requirements evaluate quantum computing options and monitor advances in quantum technology. You will communicate research findings through blogs papers conferences and presentations while contributing to technology roadmaps.
Requirements
- Hold a postgraduate qualification in quantum computing
- Have hands-on quantum computing experience
- Have quantum machine learning experience as desirable
- Demonstrate independent quantum computing research at postgraduate level and ideally postdoctoral level
- Demonstrate strong analytical and reasoning skills
- Work collaboratively and share ideas
- Adapt to ambiguity and changing priorities
- Successfully complete BPSS clearance before starting employment
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute research into quantum computing applications and algorithms
- Demonstrate technical feasibility and support end users
- Report research results in blogs papers and conferences
- Monitor advances in quantum technology
- Analyse business requirements and evaluate quantum computing options
- Contribute to technology roadmaps and knowledge sharing
- Present quantum computing topics to business technical academic and political audiences
