About the Role
You will track and research trends in Ethereum development, including MEV, PBS, block builders, relays, and sequencers. You will review and co-author EIPs, participate in Ethereum R&D calls, and analyze discussions from the Ethereum Foundation and major protocols. You will research and evaluate cryptographic technologies centered on zk (zkVM, zkEVM, zk rollup), assess products applying these technologies, and understand their business implications.
Requirements
- PhD in decentralized systems, cryptographic technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience and achievements
- Over 3 years of experience as a researcher in the blockchain field or decentralized systems technology, including writing academic papers
- Alignment with Tané's vision and philosophy
- Native-level English
Responsibilities
- Track and research Ethereum developments
- Review EIPs
- Participate in Ethereum R&D calls
- Co-author EIPs
- Research MEV and related technologies such as MEV-Boost and SUAVE
- Research trends in PBS, block builders, relays, sequencers, and preconfirmation
- Analyze discussions at the Ethereum Foundation and key protocols such as Uniswap, Lido, and EigenLayer
- Track the evolution of cryptographic technologies centered around zk
- Evaluate products and functionalities applying zk technologies such as zkVM, zkEVM, and zk rollup
- Assess business and ecosystem changes resulting from new cryptographic technologies
