About the Role
Own the design of Plaid’s consumer experiences, setting visual and interaction quality standards, partnering with product and engineering, building prototypes with AI agents, and contributing to design culture.
Requirements
- 4+ years creating and shipping digital products
- Consumer experience across mobile and web
- Exceptional visual and interaction craft
- Experience integrating AI agents into design and development
- Strong verbal and visual presentation skills
- Experience influencing team direction and planning
- Ability to connect design to business goals and metrics
- Ability to build prototypes
- Experience shipping code or working as a design engineer is a plus
Responsibilities
- Own consumer surface design from problem definition through pixel-level polish
- Set and maintain the visual and interaction quality bar for the consumer product
- Partner with product and engineering through planning and execution
- Build working prototypes, including prototypes using AI agents
- Produce wireframes, user flows, and pixel-perfect prototypes
- Advocate for consumers and user-centered processes
- Contribute to design culture through collaboration, presentations, and feedback
