About the Role
You will engineer complex multi-domain systems and develop foundational platform components and shared services. You will design cloud-native patterns, improve performance and resiliency, lead technical analysis, establish project plans, validate quality, advise on technical strategy, and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree and three years of relevant experience
- Experience implementing and supporting applications and mid-tier services in financial services or health care
- Apache, Tomcat, NodeJS, and Linux
- Java, J2EE, JavaScript, Struts, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, ReactJS, RESTful web services, SQL, and NoSQL databases
- Kafka, OAuth, and SAML
- SOLID principles, 12-factor application methodology, React, Node.js, Java, and Spring Boot
- GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, SonarQube, and CI/CD
- JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Postman, JMeter, Draw.io, Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, and Visual Studio Code
- Maven, NPM, Git, Jira, ServiceNow, Splunk, Datadog, and Agile methodologies
Responsibilities
- Participate in architecture design teams
- Define and implement application-level architecture
- Develop applications, components, and subsystems for complex projects
- Recommend testing tools and methodologies and validate test plans
- Ensure QA readiness of software deliverables
- Develop documentation for applications and subsystems
- Establish project life-cycle plans across multiple platforms
- Meet project goals on time and on budget
- Advise on risk assessment and risk-management strategies
- Plan and coordinate schedules and assignments for multiple projects
- Act as a primary liaison for business units on technology issues
- Advise senior management on technical strategy
- Mentor junior team members
- Perform technical and functional analysis for multiple projects
- Develop technical solutions for ongoing development efforts
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable application architectures
- Recommend tools, methodologies, and testing strategies to improve quality and efficiency
