About the Role
You will own the financial view of development projects from initial estimates through completion. You will publish portfolio reporting, maintain cost estimates, analyze estimates against actual results, partner on planning and capital approvals, reconcile project financial data, and improve reporting through dashboards, AI tools, and automation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in FP&A, project finance, cost estimating, project controls, or portfolio analytics
- Experience supporting real estate development, data centers, energy, or large capital projects is preferred
- Portfolio analysis, cost estimating, budgeting, and estimate-versus-actual analysis skills
- Communication and reporting presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Willingness to travel approximately 10%
- Power BI, Tableau, or comparable visualization tools
- Project management information systems such as Procore, Kahua, e-Builder, or Unifier
- NetSuite or comparable ERP and accounting platforms
- Advanced Excel
- Practical AI tool use for analytical and reporting work
Responsibilities
- Publish weekly and monthly development portfolio reports covering budgets, forecasts, commitments, spend, and variances
- Analyze capital deployment, cost trends, site benchmarks, and scenarios across projects
- Build and improve decision-ready dashboards and visualizations
- Develop and maintain cost estimates throughout the development lifecycle
- Perform estimate-versus-actual analysis at project commercialization
- Build defensible cost estimates with Development, Construction, and Procurement
- Incorporate completed-project lessons into estimating assumptions and unit-cost libraries
- Support planning cycles, reforecasts, capital approvals, and ad hoc analysis
- Reconcile project financial data between PMIS and NetSuite
- Support monthly close, accruals, and capital reporting
- Use AI tools to accelerate analysis, reporting, and documentation
- Standardize templates, models, and reporting processes
- Travel to project sites to validate assumptions and progress
