About the Role

You will develop, validate, and extend gas-transport and process-behavior models for industrial systems. You will plan and execute supporting experiments, conduct simulations, extend process-flow modeling across scales, and communicate findings through publications, reports, and stakeholder briefings.

Requirements

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or a related field
  • Knowledge of gas dynamics, pressure drop, and flow through complex systems
  • Experience with mass transfer, diffusion, convection, and coupled heat and mass transport
  • Knowledge of process-flow analysis, material and energy balances, and process-performance metrics
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Compartmented Information clearance
  • Pass a pre-placement drug test and participate in random drug testing
  • Submit three letters of reference

  • Plan and execute experiments supporting modeling efforts
  • Conduct simulations to support model development
