About the Role
You will develop, implement, benchmark, and advance computational methods for equilibrium and nonequilibrium quantum many-body systems. You will create scalable implementations for high-performance computing facilities, collaborate across disciplines, and publish and present research findings.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in computational physics, physics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a relevant field completed within the past five years
- Research experience in tensor networks, Monte Carlo, machine learning, or a related field
- Proficiency in quantum mechanics, statistical modeling, and linear algebra
- Ability to obtain and maintain an HSPD-12 PIV badge
- Completion of all degree requirements before the appointment begins
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, benchmark, and advance computational methods for quantum many-body systems
- Develop scalable and efficient algorithm implementations for high-performance computing facilities
- Link models and algorithms with high-performance computing in a multidisciplinary research environment
- Author peer-reviewed papers and deliver technical presentations
