About the Role
You will define and pursue foundational and applied research, design rigorous large-scale experiments, and translate customer needs into research problems. You will publish at leading venues, collaborate with engineering teams to bring findings into production inference systems, and mentor junior researchers.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD research depth in machine learning
- First-author publications at leading research venues
- Ability to move from theory through implementation to empirical results
- Research problem-selection judgment
- Background across multiple ML research areas
- Open-source contribution or ML research community-building experience
Responsibilities
- Define and pursue foundational and applied research agendas
- Design and execute rigorous large-scale experiments
- Translate customer requirements into research problems
- Publish at top research venues
- Collaborate with engineering teams to bring research findings into production systems
- Mentor junior researchers
- Shape the technical direction of the research organization
