About the Role
You will transcribe podcast audio into accurate, well-formatted Sinhala transcripts. You will ensure correct grammar, punctuation, and formatting, identify speakers and structure dialogue, edit and proofread transcripts for clarity, meet turnaround times for assigned episodes, and follow provided style guides. Payments are calculated based on total audio hours completed. The work is fully remote with a flexible schedule and uses a built-in time tracker.
Requirements
- Fluency in Sinhala (native or near-native preferred)
- Strong command of grammar, spelling, and written communication in Sinhala
- Ability to understand different accents and varying audio quality
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Experience in audio transcription (podcasts, interviews, or similar content)
- Experience transcribing podcasts or media content
- Familiarity with transcription tools
- Experience with bilingual transcription or translation
Responsibilities
- Transcribe podcast episodes from audio to text in Sinhala with high accuracy
- Ensure proper grammar, punctuation, and formatting throughout transcripts
- Identify speakers and structure dialogue clearly
