About the Role

Maintain the reliability and uptime of critical manufacturing equipment while supporting facility operations and building a preventive maintenance system. Troubleshoot high- and low-voltage electrical systems, mechanical equipment, CNC machines, PLCs, utilities, and production equipment. Execute preventive maintenance through a CMMS, perform diagnostics and repairs, maintain safety and environmental compliance, support installations and upgrades, and guide other maintenance technicians.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in high- and low-voltage electrical systems in manufacturing; 10+ years preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant electrical codes.
  • Experience using voltmeters, amp meters, and other electrical testing equipment.
  • Experience with Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
  • Ability to work with managers, peers, and vendors.
  • Ability to work in varied weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Participation in a drug and alcohol program.
  • Experience with CMMS, preferably UpKeep.
  • Experience in carpentry, HVAC, or plumbing is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on manufacturing and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot CNC machines, PLCs, utility systems, and production equipment.
  • Maintain power supply lines, electrical distribution systems, motors, generators, switches, control panels, breakers, wiring, sensors, relays, and electronic components.
  • Maintain facility utility systems and building equipment.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance activities using a CMMS.
  • Purchase parts and develop maintenance work instructions.
  • Conduct routine inspections and implement reliability improvements.
  • Perform PLC, control panel, wiring, fuse, breaker, and circuit diagnostics and repairs.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain and enforce the Lockout/Tagout program.
  • Collaborate with vendors, Engineering, and Operations on upgrades and installations.
  • Provide guidance to other Maintenance Technician personnel.
