About the Role

You will own the end-to-end architecture of perception, planning, and control systems on production hardware. You will apply diffusion-based policy learning and optimal control to manipulation tasks, define the technical roadmap, integrate sensors, compute, and actuators, resolve hardware and model-performance bottlenecks, and mentor senior engineers.

Requirements

  • Track record of shipping AI-powered systems to production
  • Expertise in diffusion models for robot learning
  • Command of optimal control theory and practice, including MPC, trajectory optimization, and feedback control
  • Experience with sensor pipelines, embedded compute, and actuator interfaces
  • Proficiency in Python and C++
  • Familiarity with ROS 2 or equivalent robotics middleware
  • Experience with real-time systems constraints and learned-model deployment on robot hardware
  • Systems-level design for maintainability, observability, and failure modes
  • Ability to drive technical decisions across cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical architect for perception, planning, and control systems deployed on production hardware
  • Lead the application of diffusion-based policy learning and optimal control to robot manipulation and picking tasks
  • Define the technical roadmap for diffusion models and optimal control
  • Drive hardware integration across sensors, compute, and actuators
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in model inference, motion execution, and hardware throughput
  • Mentor senior engineers

Benefits

  • Health insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Unlimited vacation
  • Paid federal and state holidays
  • 401(k) contributions of 5% of salary
  • Company-covered travel expenses
