About the Role
You will own perception outcomes for autonomous mining vehicles at customer sites. You will select sensors, adapt models to new domains, define deployment data strategies and KPIs, diagnose field issues, and translate customer needs into technical approaches with the platform and customer engineering teams.
Requirements
- Systems-level understanding of perception and ideally planning or controls
- Experience diagnosing model failures in deployed systems and driving resolution
- Ability to translate ambiguous customer requirements into technical specifications
- Familiarity with PyTorch, ONNX, TensorRT, Docker, Python, and C++
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in any field, or equivalent education and work experience
- 3+ years of experience or equivalent education and experience
Responsibilities
- Design and implement perception systems for new product capabilities
- Design data strategies for new deployments, including collection and labeling
- Make build-versus-reuse tradeoffs for new product lines
- Triage model and system issues in the field and coordinate upstream fixes
- Translate customer requirements into technical approaches and KPIs
