About the Role
You will ensure operations comply with Lithuanian financial regulations, MiCA, EMI rules, and applicable EU directives. You will monitor regulatory changes, draft and implement compliance policies, perform compliance reviews and control testing, prepare documentation and reports, interact with regulators including the Bank of Lithuania, support licensing and regulatory filings, and deliver compliance training to employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Economics, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or in a similar role within Lithuania's financial services sector
- Strong understanding of Lithuanian regulatory framework for VASPs/CASPs, EMIs, MiCA requirements, and crypto-related legislation
- Experience working with the Bank of Lithuania or other Lithuanian regulatory bodies
- Fluent Lithuanian (mandatory)
- Fluent English (mandatory)
Responsibilities
- Ensure operations comply with Lithuanian financial regulations, MiCA requirements, EMI regulations, and applicable EU directives
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes in Lithuania and the EU affecting CASPs, EMIs, digital assets, and crypto services
- Draft, update, and implement internal compliance policies, procedures, and manuals
- Perform compliance reviews and monitoring activities to assess adherence to regulatory and internal standards
- Design, implement, and test compliance-related controls across the business
- Prepare and maintain compliance documentation, registers, and reports for stakeholders and regulators
- Act as a point of contact with the Bank of Lithuania and other authorities for compliance matters
- Assist with regulatory submissions, filings, and responses to official requests
- Work with operational, legal, and risk teams to embed compliance requirements into products, services, and processes
- Support licensing, approvals, and regulatory processes for new services and products
- Conduct compliance training sessions focusing on Lithuanian regulatory requirements, MiCA obligations, and EMI rules
- Promote a strong compliance culture throughout the organisation
