About the Role

You will design, build, and operate backend and cloud-native infrastructure for distributed training, inference, and data processing. You will lead technical designs, mentor engineers, optimize infrastructure, integrate platform technologies, and own systems through deployment.

Requirements

• Have 4 years of experience designing, building, and optimizing large-scale backend infrastructure and distributed data systems
• Have 4 years of experience with Python, C++, Go, or TypeScript
• Have 4 years of experience writing technical design documentation and leading cross-functional projects
• Have 3 years of experience developing data processing and API systems, including gRPC or Thrift
• Have 3 years of experience with A/B testing and scientific experimentation
• Have 2 years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Have experience with cloud environments including AWS, GCP, or Azure

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable backend infrastructure for distributed training, inference, and data pipelines
• Lead technical design discussions and mentor engineers
• Design and implement efficient, low-latency backend services
• Optimize compute cost, storage lifecycle management, and network performance
• Translate research and product requirements into infrastructure solutions
• Evaluate and integrate Kubernetes, Ray, Kubeflow, and MLFlow
• Own systems from design through deployment with reliability and fault tolerance
