About the Role

You will develop and execute data-driven marketing strategies to grow user acquisition, retention, and brand awareness across traditional and crypto-native channels. You will own the marketing calendar, coordinate go-to-market plans for product launches, and produce content and campaigns across social and advertising channels. You will organize and run in-person and virtual events, quantify ROI of initiatives, and use analytics to optimize conversion and retention. You will collaborate cross-functionally with design, engineering and business development, and engage directly with users and partners to gather feedback and inform marketing priorities. You should be prepared to work primarily in-person in Toronto with remote exceptions.

Requirements

  • Track record of leading and scaling marketing initiatives and teams at leading L1s or blue chip DeFi protocols
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, business development, sales or finance, preferably in blockchain or fintech
  • Strong understanding of blockchain technology and communities, particularly EVM and Cosmos ecosystems
  • Experience managing social accounts and media/advertising initiatives (Twitter, Discord, Instagram, Facebook, Google)
  • Experience running lead generation and nurture campaigns and optimizing for conversion and ROI
  • Thorough knowledge of DeFi, NFT-fi and GameFi landscapes
  • Robust interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience building and scaling marketing teams to promote crypto-native and traditional brands
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to prioritize product features and marketing requirements
  • Experience in both tradfi/web2 and crypto-native marketing initiatives is ideal
  • Experience with HTML, CSS and Wordpress is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data-driven marketing campaigns and initiatives aligned with business and engineering milestones
  • Evangelize and onboard new users across traditional and crypto-native channels including Twitter Spaces and Discord
  • Organize in-person and virtual events for the community and ecosystem
  • Direct logistics for content creation for advertising campaigns and events
  • Drive and quantify user acquisition, retention and growth across multiple user segments
  • Determine ROI and expected value of marketing initiatives and identify highest value opportunities
  • Maintain deep understanding of the blockchain market and competition to inform marketing decisions
  • Work cross-functionally with design, engineering and business development to ensure successful product launches
  • Act as a user and protocol advocate by engaging with users, protocols and stakeholders to gather insights
