About the Role

You will maintain data-centre facilities by completing general repairs in carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work, and HVAC-related building infrastructure. You will inspect facilities, respond independently to service requests, source supplies, prepare simple technical reports, supervise routine contractor work, and follow health and safety procedures. You will also support logistics and operations as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification
  • 1 to 3 years of general maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical work
  • Familiarity with common maintenance tools and equipment
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and lift or move equipment up to 20 kilograms
  • Valid driver's licence and availability to travel between sites
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of asset-management software
  • Knowledge of metrics and key performance indicators
  • Basic knowledge of Office 365 software and applications is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance, including minor carpentry, plumbing, and painting repairs
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in facilities and common areas
  • Inspect facilities regularly to identify preventive and corrective maintenance needs
  • Identify and repair water leaks in pipes and connections
  • Install and maintain faucets, sanitary fixtures, drainage systems, HVAC controls, and general building infrastructure
  • Respond independently to service requests
  • Procure materials and supplies
  • Prepare simple technical reports
  • Supervise routine contractor work
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and well-being regulations
  • Implement established work procedures and methods
  • Support logistics and operational activities as needed
  • Perform other maintenance duties for data centres
