About the Role
You will develop amortized inference and learning methods for probabilistic graphical models. You will design evaluations, collaborate on theory, implement research in Python and machine learning frameworks, analyze experimental results, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, or a relevant field
- At least 3 years of deep learning research experience
- Expertise in probabilistic inference
- Strong mathematics background
- Experience developing and implementing machine learning models
- Python proficiency
- Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Research contributions in probabilistic inference or related fields
Responsibilities
- Develop amortized inference methods for high-dimensional distributions
- Develop parameter- and structure-learning methods for probabilistic graphical models
- Design evaluation strategies for probabilistic inference methods
- Collaborate on learning and inference theory
- Translate theoretical proposals into high-quality implementations
- Analyze experimental results to guide research
- Communicate research findings to stakeholders
