About the Role
You will develop, train, evaluate, and improve machine learning models for learned behavior systems in autonomous trucks. You will build production-quality training and inference code, curate behavior datasets, analyze failures, improve training pipelines, and integrate models into simulation and testing workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field with 4+ years of industry experience, or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience
- Machine learning experience in imitation learning, reinforcement learning, or sequence modeling for robotics, autonomous systems, or complex control environments
- Python and PyTorch programming skills
- Experience training and evaluating machine learning models using large datasets and scalable compute environments
- Understanding of transformers, graph neural networks, or sequence models used in autonomy systems
- Experience debugging model behavior, analyzing performance metrics, and iterating on training pipelines
- Ability to collaborate across functions to integrate ML models into larger software systems
Responsibilities
- Develop and train machine learning models for learned behavior systems
- Implement production-quality ML code for training, evaluation, and inference
- Analyze model performance and failure modes and improve robustness and generalization
- Contribute to model training pipelines and data workflows
- Curate behavior datasets from simulation, fleet logs, and on-vehicle data
- Test and evaluate learned behavior models across driving environments
- Integrate learned behavior models into simulation and testing workflows
- Develop tooling and infrastructure for reproducible experimentation and model iteration
- Contribute to model architecture and training-strategy discussions
