About the Role

You will execute in-depth analyses to support new business development, transaction execution and the delivery of private capital raising solutions to high-growth, technology-driven businesses. You will perform research and financial modelling, apply core valuation methods, and complete due diligence activities across growth equity raises, private placements, structured equity and recapitalisations. You will draft management presentations and marketing materials, participate in client meetings and drafting sessions, and research technology sub-sectors to target clients. You will work closely with client staff and the European investor ecosystem, presenting results directly related to the scope of analysis. You will also provide training and mentorship to summer interns and less experienced Analysts as the team grows, while ensuring all activities comply with applicable rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Internship or prior work experience in the financial services industry preferred
  • Exposure to private capital, growth equity or technology is an advantage
  • Proven track record in university studies
  • Passion for technology, innovation and disruptive business models
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical abilities
  • Excellent mathematical, writing, verbal and computer skills
  • Ability to adapt to new tasks with little notice
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Thorough understanding of accounting and finance
  • Travel required: approximately 5%

Responsibilities

  • Perform due diligence, research, analysis and documentation of potential and live transactions
  • Identify potential deal issues and escalate concerns to team members
  • Draft management presentations highlighting financial analysis and research results
  • Assist in the development, production and delivery of proposals and presentations to founders, management teams and investors
  • Draft marketing materials emphasising the advantages of the private capital markets approach
  • Participate in client meetings and drafting sessions
  • Research technology and technology-enabled sub-sectors to target clients and monitor key industry drivers
  • Seek opportunities to streamline processes and propose efficiency solutions
  • Support client relationship development by understanding client needs and anticipating information needs
  • Develop an understanding of macro and technology factors related to client sectors and private capital markets products
  • Mentor summer interns and teach subsequent classes of Analysts
  • Ensure all activities comply with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures
