About the Role
You will research and evaluate emerging blockchain technologies and protocols, design and build prototypes and proofs-of-concept, analyze distributed ledger use cases for banking and financial services, conduct technical feasibility assessments, run innovation workshops and hackathons, document findings and produce thought leadership, and collaborate with product and engineering to mature prototypes toward production.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in technology research or innovation roles or strong academic research background
- Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals and distributed systems concepts
- Ability to read and understand code (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
- Experience with or willingness to learn prototyping and proof-of-concept development
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies and deliver high-touch customer engagement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Intellectual curiosity and passion for emerging technologies
- English required; German/Swiss German, French, or Italian a plus
- Location: Switzerland, with focus on Lugano
Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate emerging blockchain technologies, protocols, and industry trends
- Design and develop proof-of-concepts and technology prototypes
- Analyze use cases for distributed ledger technology in banking and financial services
- Collaborate with clients to identify innovation objectives and technology opportunities
- Conduct technical feasibility assessments for emerging technologies
- Run innovation workshops, hackathons, and client engagement activities
- Document research findings, technology assessments, and prototype outcomes
- Produce thought leadership content such as whitepapers and presentations
- Monitor developments in blockchain ecosystems and digital asset innovations
- Partner with product and engineering teams to advance prototypes toward production
