About the Role
You will drive the evolution of the company's infrastructure and security posture. You will take substantial ownership of technology choices and implementations for deployment, observability, storage, and security. You will identify, triage, and implement incremental improvements across these domains. You will collaborate closely with backend engineers and with internal and external auditors to design and scope appropriate interventions. You will ensure security considerations are baked into the software development lifecycle and communicate threat models and tradeoffs so stakeholders adopt necessary controls. You will work with and author infrastructure as code and be fluent in Python and Terraform.
Requirements
- Fluent in Python
- Fluent in Terraform
- Broad understanding of cloud architecture
- Broad understanding of data governance
- Broad understanding of infrastructure as code
- Ability to approach infrastructure and security risk with nuance and good judgment
- Ability to build consensus around threat models
